Mr. David Sidoo is a successful businessman based in Vancouver where he oversees a successful private investment banking and financial management firm. Upon graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1982 where he held a four-year football scholarship with the UBC Thunderbirds, he was drafted to play professional football with the Canadian Football League. David retired from football in 1988 and was introduced to the brokerage business. From there he became a broker with Yorkton Securities where he quickly became one of the company's top revenue generators. He went on to become Partner and Advisory Board Member at Yorkton Securities, consistently generating commissions that ranked in the Top Five nationally. In 1999, he left Yorkton to pursue private investment banking. He was founding shareholder of American Oil & Gas Inc. (NYSE -AEZ) which was sold to Hess Corporation in Dec 2010 for over US$630 million in an all-stock transaction. In 2008, The Vancouver Sun voted Mr. Sidoo one of the top 100 South Asians making a difference in British Columbia. He currently sits on the Board of Governors for the University of British Columbia and is one of the select few of UBC football players to be inducted into both the UBC and BC Football Hall of Fame. In 2016, David was appointed to the Order of British Columbia, the Province’s highest form of recognition. He has also been honoured by the Government of Canada with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the NRI Award, presented at the House of Lords in London, England, for his tireless work in the community.
Lindsay Murray is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with over 14 years of diversified experience. She brings leadership in strategic planning and budgeting, finance and financial analysis, internal and external reporting, accounting processes and internal controls. Most recently she was Director, Finance of Alterra Power Corp. a global renewable energy company and previous to this she was manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where she received a Bachelor of Arts.
Miguel has worked as a professional geologist for more than 25 years in Greenfield exploration, geological consulting, accomplished prospector and exploration manager for numerous projects including CRA / Rio Tinto, Paramount Ventures, Mansfield Minerals, Teck Cominco, Admiralty Resources (ADY), Condor Resources, Cascadero Copper, and Orocobre. He was an exploration geologist for five years for Salta Exploraciones (SESA), formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of Cascadero Copper where he assisted, developed and implemented property identification and acquisition of projects with the TR Prospecting Group from British Columbia and Calgary, Alberta. This period of boot and hammer prospecting identified several of the properties that now constitute the core assets of Cascadero Minerals S.A. Miguel has a broad range of expertise and extensive experience and knowledge of porphyry copper systems in Peru, Chile and Argentina. He is responsible for the discovery of new high- and low-sulphidation gold and silver epithermal showings, and identifying IOCG and VMS type alteration systems previously not recognized. The prospecting campaigns were focused on the presence of regional and district scale structural systems that exist in Chile and continue into western and north western Argentina.
Miguel’s recent focus is lithium brine deposits with an emphasis on the discovery and development of new brine deposits including Salar de Olaroz, which is now in production. The Olaroz Salar is the world’s first new production of 20,000 tons of lithium carbonate per year.Miguel is currently a Director and General Manager of South American Salars S.A. (Company Salares Exploration of Advantage Lithium Group), Managing Partner of Salta Environmental SRL and is active in managing a large private portfolio of highly prospective mineral tenures in Chile and Argentina.In 2012, Miguel was nominated as one of the most Outstanding Geologists in Argentina.
Mr. Andy Robb joins as Technical Advisor, Projects. Andy brings significant senior technical and management depth to the Cauchari JV. In addition to senior roles with BHP Billiton and AMC Consulting, during the period 2013-16 Andy was VP South America and Project Director for Enirgi Group Corporation. In this role Andy had responsibility for over 200 Operational and Project staff and was instrumental in the completion of the NI43-101 compliant Definitive Feasibility Study for the Rincon lithium brine project located in Salta. Following his leadership/supervision of successful exploration campaigns (drilling and pump testing) over the study period 2013 to 2015, Measured and Indicated resources increased significantly to 3.5 Mt LCE (plus Inferred resource to 4.8 Mt LCE) for the project with 50,000tpa LCE nameplate capacity. As we move into 2018, Andy will play a key role in advancing our project through the scoping study and future engineering phases of development.
Mr. Grant graduated with B.Sc. Honours Geology from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland in 1971 followed by an M.Eng. (Mining) degree from McGill University in 1977. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario & British Columbia, Canada, has served as Qualified Person for mineral resource and mining sign-offs and delivery of scoping through feasibility studies. Mr. Grant is fluent in Spanish and English. He has broad perspective and experience of the minerals industry from exploration to production with a focus on South America and Argentina in particular. Extensive experience in the exploration, development and production of a broad range of metalliferous and industrial commodities including lithium. Technical manager for delivery of numerous scoping, pre-feasibility, bankable feasibility, and development/operating projects to NI43-101 standards.
Richard joined the Board of Orocobre as Managing Director in 2007, when it was an unlisted Argentinian explorer, chaired by Neil Stuart. Richard took Orocobre through to listing on the ASX in December 2007. Richard is a mining geologist and geotechnical engineer and has over 30 years’ experience in exploration, development and production, and over 20 years in the corporate field as a Director involved in resource development funding. Richard has managed Orocobre’s growth from an explorer in Argentina to become a successful producer of lithium carbonate at the Olaroz project and he was instrumental in negotiating the Toyota Tsusho Joint Venture in 2010. He is a graduate of the Royal School of Mines and James Cook University in North Queensland and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Mining and Geology and a Master of Engineering Science. Richard is also a director of Leyshon Resources, a small ASX listed company.
Rick was appointed Joint Company Secretary on 10 March 2015. Rick is a practicing lawyer with over 30 years’ experience in both corporate and commercial law. He also has extensive experience in the resource sector, as a director of a number of resource companies and as legal adviser, including project acquisition and development, capital raising and corporate governance.
Daniel is an experienced manager with excellent client facing skills. Daniel is a team leader motivated by understanding clients' needs to deliver successful projects. He is experienced in project life cycles from feasibility and scoping through to implementation. Previously, Daniel worked for ADY Resources Ltd in Salta, Argentina as the Project Manager for the Enirgi’s Expansion Project.
Alex is a qualified industrial engineer and MBA, with advanced courses in financial and project management, and over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry. He has held various senior management positions in operations management and project development in Codelco-Chile. He has participated in the evaluation of prefeasibility and feasibility studies and managed the execution of major projects. He also has participated structuring business models, implementing capital investments system, managing operational readiness and develop high performing teams. Currently, he is Associated Consultant in Enthalpy Pty Ltd., Project Management Consultant Company from Australia, experts in Capital Investments Development, Projects Structuring and Owner's Representatives in Projects.
Doug Leishman was a part of Endeavour Financial Ltd. (Private Company) as the Director of Geology and Exploration from 2001 to 2005. Mr, Leishman was a Director of Terrane Metals Corp. from July, 2006 to the time it was purchased by Thompson Creek Metals in 2010 for ~$700 million. He has served as a Director of Southern Arc Minerals Inc. from January 25, 2005 to July 2008 and Fortress Minerals from June 2004 to February 2006. As an explorationist Mr. Leishman has participated in several significant mineral discoveries including copper deposits in the Sultanate of Oman (1974 - 1978), the Midwest Lake uranium deposit in Northern Saskatchewan (1978) and the Frasergold gold deposit in the Cariboo district of south central B.C. (mid 1980’s). As a Mining Analyst (Yorkton Securities and Endeavour Financial) Mr. Leishman was very early in the recognition of the economic potentials of the Voiseys Bay nickel deposits in Labrador and the Pierina gold deposit in Peru. He was also early in the recognition that the Bre-X story was full of holes (empty holes).
Murray Brooker has over 26 years of experience in the mining industry working in various roles from exploration to resource definition, project feasibility and consulting where Murray has taken a lead role in a number of resource evaluations and independent reviews of ASX and TSX listed companies. Mr Brooker has worked for mining and exploration companies and as a consultant for a number of international geological and engineering consultancies.
For the past 8 years Mr Brooker has worked as an International consultant and Principal for Hydrominex Geoscience in Australia and South America primarily on salt lake hosted brine deposits hosting lithium, potash and borates.
This experience includes consulting to ASX listed Orocobre Limited on their Olaroz lithium brine mine in Argentina. Mr Brooker was responsible for resource estimates on the Salinas Grandes and Cauchari Lithium-potassium-boron salt lake deposits and for supervision of the drilling and exploration programs leading up to the resource estimates. He is also involved with the Cauchari project (spin-out of assets from Orocobre) for Advantage Minerals in Argentina and the Maricunga salar in Chile, which is at the feasibility stage.
He acted as the competent person for reporting resources for these projects on the ASX and TSX exchanges. Mr Brooker has also acted as the competent person for salt lake borate projects for Orocobre, where the borates are present as solid mineralisation within the salt lake sediments. Mr Brooker experience includes exploration program design, supervision and resource estimation for Australian salt lake potash deposits.
During this time Mr Brooker also undertook evaluation of third party projects for companies considering investment and project acquisition in brine projects in different countries. This work included reviewing a large amount of geoscientific and company technical documents to assess project merits. Mr Brooker has also worked as part of project teams on metals projects preparing information for resource estimation, working with the geologists undertaking the estimation to ensure appropriate practices were applied. As part of his consulting career Mr Brooker has evaluated projects in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Africa - with project reported in accordance with the JORC Code or the NI43-101 disclosure standards.
Mr. Frits Reidel, principal of the consulting firm FloSolutions, has been commissioned to provide on-going assistance to the Company as its Independent QP to ensure industry best practice related to drilling, testing, sampling and related QA/QC procedures on the current AAL exploration program which will lead to an updated mineral resource estimate in early 2018. Based in Santiago, Chile, Frits and his team have vast experience in brine resource evaluation including the practicalities of salt-lake exploration, hydrogeology, drilling methods, well construction, and testing gained from working on numerous projects (for examples, Olaroz, Cauchari [Lithium Americas], and Maricunga) in the Lithium Triangle of Argentina and Chile since 1992. Frits Reidel is a Qualified Person and independent of AAL as defined under NI43-101.
Peter Ehren is an independent Lithium Consultant. He has more than 16 years of experience in the industry. He started his interest in the lithium business during his master's thesis at Technical University of the Delft where he investigated for BHP Minerals the recovery of lithium from geothermal brine (Salton Sea). After his thesis he worked for SQM till 2007. Since 2007 he started to work as independent consultant. He has been consulting in a industry of lithium, potash, nitrate, iodine and boron. His experiences covers such items as product applications, supply and price analysis, investment cost estimation process simulations, cost simulations for a variety of minerals and brine deposits, engineering, R&D and product development. Since that time he has worked in the majority of lithium basins and production facility worldwide, notably Orocobre’s Salar de Olaroz Project, the only new sustained salar brine producer since FMC. He is one of the few consultants in the industry who has built projects from lab scale all the way through to industrial production.
